Income-tax Department has implemented new payment & refund system for Direct Taxes referred to as TIN 2.0.

The TIN 2.0 system shall be hosted by Income Tax Department under IEC 2.0 project (Integrated e-filing & CPC 2.0) and has subsume the erstwhile OLTAS (Online Tax Accounting System) & Refund Banker Scheme presently hosted by NSDL e-Gov on behalf of Income Tax Department under the TIN (Tax Information Network).

Our Bank is Live on TIN 2.0 platform of Income Tax Department.

All our branches are designated to collect Direct Taxes through the following approved payment modes;

  1. Tax collection through Over the Counter.
  2. Tax collection through Internet Banking

1)Tax Collection Over the Counter Payments (OTC)

This module is for collection of Direct Tax through our branches by Cash, Cheque and DD Mode.

1.1) Process Flow:

i) The taxpayer logs into the TIN portal (https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login) using their credentials and will fill-up the challan. Upon filling up the challan, taxpayer will be presented with payment option of OTC mode of payment (Cash, Cheque or DD).

ii) Taxpayer will take the print of the challan containing a unique ID (CRN) and will submit the same to any of our Branch. The validity of the Challan is 15 days from the date of Challan creation date.

iii) Payment Receipt will be generated by the TIN Portal.

2)Tax collection through Internet Banking:

This mode is for online collection of Tax by our customers through Internet Banking module and is available both Retail and Corporate customers.

i) The taxpayer logs into the TIN portal (https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login) using their credentials and will fill-up the challan. Upon filling up the challan, taxpayer will be presented with payment option of Internet Banking.

ii) Upon selecting Internet Banking option and Union Bank of India, taxpayer will be redirected to Union Bank of India Internet Banking Page.

iii) Once the transaction is completed successfully the page will be redirected to Income Tax Website. The Challan Identification Number (CIN) will be sent to the TIN Portal along with the status of the transaction.

iv) Payment Receipt will be generated by the TIN Portal.
